Season Goals

While limping home after a hard crash in Shingletown last Thursday, I churned over quite a few pseudo-philosophical debates. At first, I contemplated the differences between jam and jelly, and whether or not each enhanced the overall experience of my sandwich. However, my lack of preservative knowledge quickly shifted my line of thought to topics more suited to my strengths, and I settled on the inevitable question for every endurance athlete:  Why am I doing this?

Ah, the dreaded question. Why do we put in hour after hour on the saddle? Throw ourselves over, and sometimes onto, jagged rocks? Race until our chests collapse from strain? The reasons vary from person to person, though no answer ever seems truly complete.

Despite the complexity of the question, we here at TBS Inc. Racing believe to have stumbled upon the universal answer for the universal question. We do it to be like these guys:

Personally, I would have gone with the salmon. But then again, I'm not a pro (yet...).

I am still drafting my own goals for this season- which I will post on my fancy Bio page once complete - but I have confidence that more than a few people already finalized a few major targets for this season. For me, the first and primary goal is finishing the Trans-Sylvania Epic, though I will construct a more specific goal for it as the race nears. But, if you dare, share with us some of your own goals. Top 5s? Upgrades? Get Denny to stop listening to bad metal? Fix the spelling error on your team blog's banner (I'm getting to it, I swear...)? Let us know!
