Tim Darwick

So, you wanna know more about Tim, eh? Let's start with a picture:

This is what a Tim looks like.

Timothy J. Darwick
Age: 22
Height: 175.3 cm
Weight: 68.2 kg
Hometown: Germantown, MD
Occupation: Student/Semi-professional Facial Hair Consultant

BIO:

Tim was born in the snowy foothills of Augusta, ME during what may or may not have been the blizzard of the century (hint: it was not). Before he was well-practiced in the art of remembering things, Tim moved down to Germantown, MD where he would spend the majority of his youth. After pretending to learn flatland bmx, Tim cast the bike aside to play lacrosse for a few years. Once at the high school level, Tim grew bored with the sport in great haste, and eventually integrated into a high school mountain biking club. Only three miles from his school, Tim would spend most of his extracurricular time turning tread at the Schaeffer Farms trail system. These experiences began a steady decline, as Tim initiated his "professional" experience in bike shops and dedicated his life to chasing abstract dreams about "the good life" of cycling, a chase which continues to this day.

After arriving in State College, PA for his undergraduate education, Tim's abilities as a cyclist expanded prodigiously. With four years of central PA trail experience, support from good cycling friends, and a solid base of racing, Tim made his debut into the higher levels of mountain bike competition in 2009 when he secured his Cat 1 license. Now, Tim hopes to expand his racing experience through higher profile events, and may even have a podium or two on the goal sheet for the 2k10 racing season.

Currently, Tim is finishing his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at The Pennsylvania State University. His current plans for the future are to travel westward with bikes and banjo, and attempt to justify his education through the promotion of cycling. When not on the bike, you can find Tim in one of three places: providing mechanical support for RBR (the recumbent bicycle shop in town), scouring music blogs on the interweb, or at the top of a ridgeline pickin' away at a banjo.

If you desire to hear more of Tim's ramblings, you are invited to indulge in haphazard writings at his personal blog, Fancy Shpants.
